About

I’m Andrew Curtis Johnson — hence the name of this blog. I am a Christian and have always had a strong interest in computers, web design and audio/video technology. I want to use my gifting in these areas to edify the Body of Christ and glorify God. “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10). The purpose of this blog is to share what I have learned about computers, web design, and audio/video technology…and maybe a bit of theology here and there.

Ever since our family got its first computer, I have taken a strong interest in the way it worked. As a result of this, I have messed things up many times. Every single time, I have sorted out the problem — in the process gaining valuable knowledge about how to fix computer issues.

I actually got involved in web design when I was in 7th grade when I started my first website on a freewebs subdomain. The name of the website was “The Bible Answer Kid” and it’s purpose was to answer questions or leave comments my friends had relating to the Bible or life’s problems. Along the way, I learned HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and simple javascript. I would like to learn php.

Websites that I currently own include:
www.cryoutyouth.com
www.worshipunashamed.org
www.albinpeterson.com

In addition I manage these websites:
www.choicesmatter.net
www.mastervisions.com
www.1a-unique-gifts.com

Audio and video has been a hobby of mine since the 7th grade too. I have not had much application of this knowledge until recently. I have taken a sort of leadership role in training our church’s sound, light, and video technicians. I believe the job of these technicians is according to biblical mandate. Paul said, “If I don’t address you plainly with some insight or truth or proclamation or teaching what help am I to you? If musical instruments–flutes, say, or harps–aren’t played so that each note is distinct and in tune, how will anyone catch the melody and enjoy the music? If the trumpet call can’t be distinguished, will anyone show up for the battle? So if you speak in a way no one can understand, what’s the point of opening your mouth?” (1 Corinthians 14:6b-9)

Thanks for checking out my website! Now go serve your King!
